Here is a quick recap of my presentation "Mexican Border Crossing Records". Hopefully this video recording will help you get a better knowledge of Mexican border crossing records.
I had fun making and recording the presentation. I even provided two examples of my own grandfather crossing the border. They contained information on him that I did not know. Also they had a thumb print and his signature which was neat to see. What discoveries will you make?

Introduction to Border Crossing Records (1:40) - In this part of the video I talk about the history of the agency that recorded these records as well as the laws that created it. That way you know what years are available.
Not Everyone Was Recorded (6:34) - In this section I explain how not everyone that crossed got recorded. Thus providing us with an idea of who got recorded and why.
Genealogical Information Provided (20:45) - Here I talk about the kind of information that these records provide and what you can expect to find in them. They can provide valuable clues to find more records.
Where Can You Find Them (25:00) - I provide website addresses and the various places were you will be able to find them without leaving your home.
For Further Learning (38:40) - Finally, I provide and talk about some resources to help you learn more about border crossing records.
