One of the early settling families of Revilla is that of Jose Bacilio Peña and Francisca Javiera Gutierrez de Lara. They are mentioned in the 1757 census of Revilla as follows: "Don Jose de Peña, casado con Doña Francisca Gutierrez, armas, cuatro caballos y un burro".

The parents of Jose Bacilio Peña are Marcos Peña and Catarina Buentello.

The parents of Francisca Javiera Gutierrez are Cristobal Gutierrez de Lara and Isabel Maria de Benavides.
