An early family of Mier, is that of Francisco Ignacio Gonzalez and Francisca Javiera Salinas. In the 1757 Census of Mier they are listed as follows, "Don Francisco Gonzalez, casado con Doña Francisca Salinas, dos hijos, armas y ocho caballos."

So far I have not been able to find the father of Francisco Ignacio but his mother is Ines Treviño.

The parents of Francisca Javiera are Francisco Javier Salinas and Maria Rosa Longoria.

Through research, I have been able to find a total of 5 children for them.
