Early Families of Montemorelos: Ignacio Cavazos and Maria Cantu
An early family from Montemorelos, is that of Ignacio Cavazos and Maria Cantu. They married on the 20th of April 1721 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Their marriage record hints as to who their parents are but the record is very badly faded. Thankfully it is through other records and some marriage investigations of their descendants that we know who they are. The parents of Ignacio Cavazos are Joseph Cavazos and Jacinta Fernandez de Castro.
The parents of Maria Cantu are Carlos Cantu and Josefa Gonzalez Hidalgo.
Up to today I have only been able to locate eleven children for them.
