Blas Canales and Maria Benavides

An early family of Cerralvo is that of Blas Canales and Maria Benavides. It is stimated that they lived in Cerralvo during the late 1600s and early 1700s. We know that Blas ahd land in Agualeguas, within the jurisdiction of Cerravlo, due to a testimony provided in a document within the protocolos of Monterrey.

Some of their children claimed to be from Cerralvo on some of their marriages on neighboring towns.

The parents of Blas Canales are Juan Canales and Gertrudis de Montemayor. The parents of Maria Benavides are Bernardo Benavides and Francisca de los Reyes.

Up to today I have only been able to locate seven children for them.
