Lucas Delgado’s parents were Juan Delgado and Leonor Pacheco de la Cruz. We know this because Marcial Clavijo, Lucas’s step father, lays out his will and testament and mentions he is the 2nd husband of Leonor and names her first husband Juan Delgado. The will is among the Canary Islands archival documents.

Maria Melian’s parents were indeed Francisco Melian and Inez de Ollos (Hoyos). Inez and Maria were both among the original Canary Islander families that departed Tenerife in 1730. We are uncertain as to what happened to Inez after her departure.
