Early Settlers of Revilla: Juan Francisco Garcia Soberon and Juana Josepha Garcia

Juan Francisco Soberon and Juana Josepha Garcia

An early settling family of Revilla is that of Juan Francisco Garcia Soberon and Juana Josepha Garcia. Here you will find their children and who they married.

They appear on the 1757 census of Revilla as follows "Don Juan Soberon, ausente con licencia, casado con Doña Juana Garcia, una hija, armas y siete caballos".

Juan Francisco does not appear in the 1750 nor the 1753 censuses but his wife does appear in the 1753 census along with her parents Vicente Garcia Guerra and Jospeha Gertrudis de Elizondo.

Juan and Josepha got married in Revilla back on January 30, 1755. He was the son of  Francisco Garcia de Soberon and Clara Lorenza de la Garza Falcon. To date, I have only been able to find seven children for them.

Here are the names of their children and whom they married. For more descendants of theirs please visit our Genealogical Database for South Texas and Northeastern Mexico.

Here is their family group:
