Early Settlers of Mier: Pablo Antonio Zarate and Juana Maria Bazan

An early settling family of Mier is that of Pablo Antonio Zarate and Juana Maria Bazan. Here you will find their children and who they married.

They appear in the 1753 census of Mier as having only one daughter. In the 1757 census they also only list one daughter.

To date, I have not been able to find out who the parents of both Pablo Antonio Zarate and Juana Maria Bazan are.

Pablo and Juana Maria lived in the Mier area between the 1750s and the middle of the 1780s.

This family stops appearing in Church padrones of Mier by 1785 and I am assuming that they moved to Camargo since we find that Juana Maria Bazan dies there on 24 Apr 1788 and several children also married there.

So far I have only come across twelve children for them, but have not been able to find the name of the daughter listed on both the 1753 and 1757 censuses.

Here are the names of their children and whom they married. For more descendants of theirs please visit our Community Family Tree.
