Early Families of Salinas Victoria: Joseph Joachin Lozano and Isabel Maria de Trevino

Joseph Joachin Lozano and Isabel Maria de Trevino

An early family of Salinas Victoria from the 1700s is that of Joseph Joachin Lozano and Isabel Maria de Trevino. Here you will find their children and who they married.

Joseph Joachin is the son of Andres Lozano and Antonia de Gongora. He was married twice, first to Clara Maria de Montemayor and then to Isabel Maira de Treviño. This article will focus on his children with his second wife Isabel Maira de Treviño. The information about his first wife was published earlier this year.

Isabel Maria was the daughter of Miguel de Treviño and Isabel de Ochoa Elejalde.

Joseph Joachin and Isabel were married about 1755 but I have not found a marriage record for them. In 1773 a marriage investigation was conducted due to them being related and it is mentioned there that it was conducted 18 years after their marriage. Later in 1774, another marriage took place after the dispensation was granted.

Most of their children were baptized and married at the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe church in Salinas Victoria.

So far, I have only come across Seven children for them.

Here are the names of their children and whom they married. For their ancestors and or to see more descendants of theirs please visit our Genealogy Database for South Texas and Northeastern Mexico.

Here is their family group:
