Early Families of Salinas Victoria: Diego de Villarreal and Beatriz de las Casas
An early family from the 1600's of what is now a days Salinas Victoria was that of Diego de Villarreal and Beatriz de las Casas. It is stimated that they married before 1630 probably in Nuevo Leon.
I have yet to discover who the parents of Diego de Villarreal are but some sources say that he came form San Miguel el Grande wich is nowadays Guanajuato, Mexico.
Beatriz is the daughter of Bernabe de las Casas who was born about 1573 in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain and Beatriz Navarro who was born about 1570 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
Diego is considred to be the projenitor of the Villarreal surname in Northwastern Mexico and Texas. See the book: https://lastnamesofnuevoleon.com/villarreal/
To date, I have only been able to find Seven children for them.
