Trying to solve a mystery?
Hello all! I am from South Texas and have been working on my family genealogy. I have a bit of a mystery and have hit a wall. I’m hoping there’s help to solve this mystery! I’ve come across a potential ancestor: Maria Catarina Hinjosa who married Antonio Olivares, had a daughter Maria Luisa Olivares. In the “Somosprimos” Decedents of Captain Pedro De La Garza, a Maria Catarina Hinojosa, daughter of Captain Diego Hinojosa Cantu and Ma. Francisca De La Garza y Diaz Molina, marries an Antonio Olivares, has a daughter Maria Luisa Olivares – Maria Luisa Olivares marries Joseph Fermin Lopez de Jean Longoria, is widowed, then marries Jose Refugio Vela. Does anyone have any info on whether Maria Catarina Hinojosa is in fact the daughter of Captain Diego Hinojosa Cantu, or any info where I can look to verify? Help is appreciated!

I have Maria Catarina Hinojosa (daughter of Diego de Hinojosa Cantu and Josepha de la Garza) married to Jose Antonio Villarreal. I don’t have her married to Antonio Olivares. Thank you!! I’m curious if Maria Catarina Hinojosa (Person ID 123030) is the same as the Maria Catarina Hinojosa (Person ID 124045). I’ve come across a book, The Hinojosa Family of Northeastern Mexico by Marion Bernice Arpee, showing Maria Catarina Hinojosa (124045) was married to (1) Jose Antonio Villarreal and then (2) Jose Antonio Olivares. Seeking advice from the experts!
