My maternal grandfather is Guillermo Hernandez

    Possible location Linares, Nuevo Leon

    Death around 1948

What I heard (from my mother) was that he killed someone at an event, maybe a dance. He was a security guard type of person. Whether days/weeks/months/years, I don’t know, attempts were made on his life. At some point, with the intention of revenge, a teenager got himself hired as a helper at either Guillermo’s ranch or wherever he may have been working and murdered him. Apparently, the teenager escaped to the US.

That’s all I have. I know not much. Well, other than that, he married my grandmother (Juana Navarro/Villarreal) in Cameron County, Texas, in 1928. A few years later, he was chased away by her brothers (I have no idea why, lol). They divorced in 1934.

The only thing I can hope for is a newspaper of sorts to help me find him. He has evaded me for decades.

    Thanks!!

I searched for him and could not find anything. If you have the marriage date try and look for the original record, UTRGV has microfilms for them. If a priest married them then there has to be a church record too.
