One of the early families of Revilla is that of Nicolas Martinez and Francisca Gutierrez.

They are listed in the 1757 census of Revilla as follows: "Don Nicolas Martinez, casado con Doña Francisca Gutierrez, una hija, armas, cuatro caballos y un burro". Here is the English translation: Don Nicolas Martinez, married to Doña Francisca Gutierrez, a daughter, weapons, four horses and a donkey.

Nicolas Martinez is the son of Miguel Martinez and Clara Treviño y Renteria. The parents of Francisca Gutierrez are Joseph Gutierrez and Gertrudis Villarreal Palfin.
