Early Settlers of Monterrey: Joseph de Tremino and Leonor de Ayala
One of the earliest families to arrive in MOnterrey after it's foudnign was that of Jospeh de Tremino and Leonro de Ayala. They married at about 1595 in Mexico city and by 1610 they were already in the area of Monterrey.
The parents of Joseph Tremino are Diego de Trevino and Beatriz de Quintanilla. The parents of Leonor de Ayala are Diego de Ayala Valverde and Marina Antonia Sosa y Guevara. There is doubt among researchers that they are the correct parents and to be honest there is no concrete proof other than that a daughter or Leonor and Joseph used the surname "de Valverde" and they also had a son named Diego de Ayala.
Joseph was baptized ont he 22nd of March 1565 at Sagrario Metropolitano, Mexico City, Mexico.
Up to today I have only been able to locate seven children for them and two other children that Joseph had with Sebastiana Garcia.
