Hello, I have been at a brick wall with My 2nd Grandfather Victorino Dominguez, born between 1820 and 1840 in Mexico. He married Maria Nava, born in 1824, and died in Robstown, Texas, in 1936. Her name has also appeared in some records as Germana Nava. I discovered Victorino in the 1880 census in San Antonio, Texas, but I cannot find any other documentation. I have located his name on his children’s death certificates to confirm them. However, I cannot locate a marriage certificate or information about what happened to him after the 1880 census. Any tips?

The marriage index for their son Romano Dominguez states that Romano was from Guerrero, Mexico and his wife was from Laredo. So I am assuming that this is Guerrero, Tamaulipas which is near Laredo. Also, FamilySearch does provide another couple with similar names to Victoriano and Germana and they are from Zacatecas and Aguascalientes. Sorry, I could not find more.

Moises, I appreciate you looking into finding my grandfather. The documents you discovered with Germana and Victorino are the ones I’ve been trying to work with. What happened to him in San Antonio after 1880 is basically a mystery. I looked through the death certificates in every county but so far no luck. Thanks for your help.
