Searching for the parents of Pedro CABALLERO & Matiana GARCIA
Maria Silveria Caballero is my 4th Great Grandmother. The only information I currently have about her parents are their names.

Maria Silveria CABALLERO, born abt 1804; died 15 Oct 1867 in Santiago, Nuevo Leon,
Mexico.She married on 19 Apr 1819 in Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Jose Antonio
Aniceto ALANIS, christened 29 Apr 1793 in Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, son of Joseph
Felipe Jesus ALANIS and Maria Guadalupe PEREZ MOYA. -

I searched my database and I also don’t have anything on her parents. Her husband is easier to research.

On the Caballero side, it’s very likely going to come down from Lucas Caballero c. 1600….I narrowed it to two individuals, using info from Inclan and the Tejano Ancestry site out of Austin, which has a second wife who is mother of a Pedro:

On the García side, the evidence is pointing to a Matiana, daughter of Esteban García, herself christened 14 March 1723 who was the possible mother of your Matiana who married Pedro (no record located connecting them, only the name).
Esteban’s spouse was María Josefa Guajardo García

The two Caballero individuals mentioned above are each descended from brothers who are themselves descendents of Lucas Caballero. 1st is Lucas Domingo Caballero, descended from Juan Caballero Olivos. He married as 2nd wife Juana María Paz Guerra, and they had Pedro Joseph Caballero. The 2nd is Joseph Eusebio Leonardo Caballero, descended from Juan’s brother, also named Lucas after his father. He married María Guadalupe Rodríguez and they also had a Pedro Joseph Caballero. The two Pedros were born 3-5 years of each other and are cousins. It would seem there is no way to determine which one is correct for you… but they do share a common ancestor.
