My great grandfather Amado Vera Sr. from La Grulla, Tx. was given his mother’s maiden name. I do not know his father’s name. His mother was Sabina Vera. The only information I have on her is an 1860 census in Brownsville. Her father was Francisco and mother Tomasa.

If you look in familysearch.org, you will find Sabina’s family tree under Sabina Vera Flores. Father’s name Francisco Vera and mother Tomasa Flores. Husband is Nicanor Zarate Gonzales. Ancestery had some information on Amado Vera. Birth : Nov 1861 Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Death 1928 La Grulla, Starr, Texas, USA. Father was Nicanor Zarate and mother Sabina Vera. Amado is on multiple census as well, maybe you can recognize some of the family. Good Luck

    Thank you!

I have all that information. I am looking for information on the biological father of her son Amado, my great grandfather. None exist. I assume that they never married and he never claimed him as a son.
