Early Settlers of Reynosa: Francisco Ramirez and Alfonsa Fajardo
One of the early settling families of Reynosa is the family of Francisco Ramirez and Alfonsa Fajardo. They are listed in the 1757 census of Reynosa as follows "Francisco Ramirez, casado con Alfonsa Fajardo, tiene ocho hijos, todas armas, veinte caballos y un burro".
They are also mentioned in the Reynosa 1750 Census and have ten children listed. It seems that two of them died by 1757 or married off. I looked for the children in the 1757 census but they were not listed.
I searched for the names of their parents and could not find them nor where they came from.
Through my research, I have only been able to find ten children for them.
Below are the names of their children and who they married.
Here is the 1750 Census Entry and their family group:

Moises, the marriage record for Francisco Ramirez and Alfonsa Fajardo names his parents and states that he is “mulatto”. His father is Diego Ramirez de Naxaxa and his mother is Maria Antonia Ramirez. Alfonsa (Aldonza de Quintanilla) is identified as mestiza of unknown parentage. At least I thought this was the correct record for their marriage. Perhaps you can advise me on this.
